Jorge Vargas is a Crew Chief and Project Manager at Architectural Resource Consultants (ARC). With over 19 years of architectural experience, Mr. Vargas coordinates survey staff on jobsites and is responsible for communicating the status of jobs in the field daily with the corporate office. He assists in developing budgets and contracts and consistently communicating with clients on any jobsite updates. Mr. Vargas received his Associate of Arts degree in AutoCAD from MTI College, Santa Ana, California. He has also studied Surveying / Mapping Sciences at Santiago Canyon College, Orange, California. Mr. Vargas is highly skilled in AutoCAD, Revit, and ReCap and also experienced in using ARC’s HDS 3D Laser Scanner, Total Station, and Leica’s Handheld Disto. He has also received a certificate from a 10-Hour Hazard Recognition Training with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration). Prior to being employed at ARC, Mr. Vargas briefly worked at National Semiconductors in Southern California as a Shift Lead where his primary role was training employees. Since joining ARC in 2000, Mr. Vargas has worked on numerous commercial projects including office buildings, health care, schools, entertainment, hotels and hospitals. As Crew Chief and Project Manager, Mr. Vargas is an integral part of ARC’s national network of as-built surveyors providing as-built services for projects in all regions of the country.
